Tombstone After Action Report

Tombstone was a great success I played the role of Johnny Ringo and our own Murphy ended laying down the law as the Sherriff. We took the field in a sunny great day. Temperatures where about mid 70's a perfect day for paintball. BlackCell took the field with all members, Spartan, Murphy, HappyFeet, Bad Mojo, xXx, 5poppa and myself along with new BlackCell recruits CarrotTop and Shark. Also along with us was a good friend and health nut Betty and her son Armando "Lil Man".

From the get go our side with had 24 players (counting 4 who had never played before) took on the Lawdags and their 20 players. From the get go BlackCell along with local teams the Creed and Psycho Soldiers started to roll through missions collecting all the gold from the mines as other Game artifacts stashing them in our HQ. Some great fire fights and some great fire and manuever lead to us sweeping the field at Airsports a couple of times. Sans the noon shoot out where the Red leadership where put in the open while the Law Dogs had plenty of cover for a one on one western shootout.

Our own Murphy used those Navy skills to grill us some great Kielbasas and Beef Franks and after resting and hydrating and loading and gasing up BlackCell and guests took on the field. But in the end not even that could hold back the Red Swarm and the Cowboys took victory at Tombstone. Our team guests Armando "lil Man" took game MVP and his mother Betty took the Sportsmanship Award. After Tombstone our size grew to ten players. So far it's looking to be a great season.

Geardo; Tachyon OPS, Paintball Gun/Helmet cam system.

As you know I run a Tachyon XC helmet cam. Not only can I take pictures or videos with iut. I found it to be a good tool for me to review field time and see besides shooting the breeze what I did right and more important what I did wrong. With the Tachyon XC cams out of production Tachyon revealed their new line of micro cams the new Tachyon OPS line. They are smaller than my cam but they are not water proof. As I can go diving with my cam these can not. But since we are not in an amphibious paintball team that's not much of a point.

These new cameras are priced at $90 for the standard VGA version. (See my facebook videos for video quality) and the HD model for $140. Really cheap as the other helmet cameras in the market are at about $200 plus range.

BlackCell is Operational

  What started with a call from a Marine Buddy. He wanted to try paint ball. I was taking my daughter to a game for my Birthday and I said what the heck. So me 5poppa, Dash and her friend Jenn hit airsports paint ball. We played the Hunt for Lost Vegas 6hour scenario game. It drizzled the whole day. We were wet, tired and we had a blast. A few days later 5poppa went looking for a gun of his own and made a few local shops Pointblank Paint ball very happy after dropping a few hundred bucks in Swag. Thou he refuses to get any new Cammies. he wears his busted ass old Marine Corps "cammies".
 
   We then played our second game at airsports, Red Dawn 09 based on the 80's movie. This time we where ready to hit the ground running. We played for the white side, we where out numbered most of the game but as a whole we had a blast and we all walked away with out own positive experiences.

   After the long winter I wanted to get back into the swing of paint ball. After having to cancel the West Point Spring Game, I ended taking a squad of noobs from work to the field. Loaning out some of my Arsenal except for xXx who brought a Project Salvo for the occasion. Bad Mojo brought a handful of Spyders that sucked, he ended up using my Phenom for the last chapter while I went in Pistolero. Murphy's trusty Alpha Black had a valve leak. He ended up using my Alpha Black. The game was a success and even xXx got a MVP for our side and Bad Mojo got a sportsmanship award.
